InPut OutPut

Proving once again that I take requests, here’s a bit comparing the Cleveland Browns fan base to Aston Villa’s. As comparisons go, it lacks a little something. Like not having four other league teams in the same area. That would be City, Wolves, WBA, and Walsall.

Funny story about the mighty Albion. I once mistook the giant high rise council estates near there for downtown Birmingham. Sort of like mistaking the old Robert Taylor Homes for downtown Chicago, but at the time I was young and impressionable. I got married in Cleveland. End of comparison.

Yes, I realize that today is induction Monday at the National Soccer Hall of Fame, but I didn’t make it to Oneonta this year and it’s not on television. Fortunately, we get Monday games.

What I’m Watching

The aforementioned West Bromwich taking on Sunderland live on Setanta at 9:30am. A league up, Fox Soccer and Espanol have Middlesbrough - Portsmouth at 3pm. GolTV has La Liga: Celta Vigo - Barcelona live, also at 3pm. Green Bay at Cincinnati on yet another edition of preseason Monday Night Football, live at 8pm on ESPN. All Times Eastern

Quote Of The Day

“I should’ve been more aggressive. I just felt like half the time I was out there I was just going through the motions. What’s the point of being there? That’s really disappointing for me because I thought I was smarter and I thought I would realize that more. I didn’t until it was over, and that’s frustrating because you can’t go back.” US international Landon Donovan.
