The Return Of The Son Of The Friday Shutout

by J Hutcherson | May 5th, 2006

Quick version today.

What I’m Watching

What will save us from the Friday shutout? Nothing, unless you happen to have Setanta Channel. It’s promotion playoff time, and they’ve got the first leg of Leeds United - Preston North End, aka Eddie Lewis trying to keep his old club from getting promoted live at 2:30pm. As of an email I got earlier today, the Crystal Palace - Watford first leg at Selhurst has yet to sell out. Interesting in and of itself. All Times Eastern

Quote Of The Day

“The FA had to pick the best man for the job and I believe they have. That’s all that matters. I’ve got the knowledge and experience. I’ve taken part in big games, won big games and been successful whichever club I’ve been to. And I’ve worked with the top players which I think is essential for this job.” newly crowned England manager Steve McClaren.
